UPDATE FROM LLANGADOG COMMUNITY CENTRE

New Changes to Hire within Community Centre

We are looking forward to when we can finally reopen our Commmunity Centre and welcoming back all our regular users to enjoy our faclities once again. We are saying goodbye to the Cylch Meithrin, who are moving to their new premises after the Easter Holidays and we wish them well in their new adventure. There are new changes to our hiring of the hall rooms, as we are now able to offer our facilities open and available to hire all day.

So if you are a regular user coming back to the hall and want to look at new hours or a new group and would like further information, please contact the Booking Secretary on 07545489760 or check out our Facebook page where you can also request a booking. Look forward to seeing you as soon as we can!

Our next exciting project is to renovate one of our larger of meeting rooms within the Community Centre, and one of the oldest, the YMCA. Our Main Hall has had new stage curtains plus new flooring on the stage and kitchen and then finally, the Green Room had its long awaited refurbishment and is now a fantastic meeting / training room with updated kitchen and toilet facilities. So we can't leave the YMCA out, and its time that this great room had a well earned update, as one of the most used rooms in our hall and one that we need to make even more inviting for the wide range of groups using it and events held.

Our project is to now update, along with any modifications that we need to make since COVID, and we would love the community to be part of this process with us! If you of any ideas of helping raise funds for this project, or if you have any ideas to bring new groups or events to the hall we want to hear them!!

Established in 1973 by local volunteers and supporters. Llangadog Community Hall Centre is in Llangadog Village in the Upper Towy Valley. It is at the heart of the village and hosts a wide range of events and local groups.

We are a registered charity and exist to promote the well-being of the inhabitants of Llangadog and district and to provide facilities for cultural, recreational and leisure time activities.

We have a large Main Hall, with a stage, full surround system and stage lighting ideal for concerts, weddings, birthday parties and other large groups or events. There is also an electric projector screen.

The YMCA is the most popular room and is within the Main Hall. It can hold up to 25 people and is used for the majority of the regular groups held within the Centre. There is an electric projector screen also for use.

There is a well equipped fitted kitchen, disabled toilet with baby changing facilities within the Main Hall. Tables and chairs also available for use.

Our Green Room has recently been refurbished and is an ideal room to hold meetings, training events or smaller groups. This main room holds up to 15 people and has a smaller meeting room off to the side and has both toilet and kitchen facilities.

There is ample car parking space and a cycle shelter to the rear of the Centre.

For information on hire of any rooms in the Llangadog Community Centre please contact Caron Thomas on 07545489760 or 01550 777328 (between 8am and 6pm ) or via email to caronclark45@yahoo.co.uk   - hire costs will depend on the which room you want to hire and timings. Or you can visit us o Facebook.

No deposit is required for bookings.

Hire charges are all inclusive of use of kitchen and use of chairs and tables. Please be aware that if there are two bookings in the hall, it maybe that the kitchen may also be used by another user, unless otherwise stated in your booking.

Our very successful and well attended groups include WI, film club, gardening club, beekeepers, whist drives and brownies. We also have weekly sporting events including short mat bowling, table tennis, and badminton. We also have a full size snooker table.
