Gwynfor Evans' Memorial
Below are some pictures of Gwynfor Evans' memorial.
One is of Wyn Jones moving the stone to the site on July 13th
2006; the stone in place on site after the unveiling on July 15th
2006 (Adam Price MP can is standing on the right), and two photos
of the artist Ieuan Rees of Llandybie, who inscribed the stone,
addressing the crowd of over 200 people on Y Garn Goch, Bethlehem,
where Gwynfor loved to walk to gather his thoughts and where his
ashes lie.
Gwynfor won the famous Carmarthen by election on July 14th 1966
and the memorial celebrates both that event and his life's work
for the nation and culture he cherished.
