KITE Digital Photography Challenge 2009

On Saturday 9th May, 45 participants took part in The Digital Photography Challenge, following a series of clues to different venues in and around the Llangadog area. They solved clues, drove to the destinations and took photographs of whatever they were inspired by. Once they had been to all of the destinations they returned to The Last Gallery where they uploaded some of their images and made them ready for display on the Llangadog website. Their best images are part of an exhibition in the Post Office.

Here on the website and in the Post Office you will be able to vote for your favourite photograph and the winners will receive a variety of prizes. Prize winners’ notification will be displayed in the Post Office and on the website in the first week of June.

It was a great day and thanks to all those who took part and thanks also to those who made the project happen. If you are interested in digital photography lessons (in the Post Office) then please leave your name with one of the members of staff in the post office.

Although this was part of Adult Learners Week, some children did accompany their parents on the challenge and we felt it was important to include their work.

To vote for your favourite, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the name of the photographer that you want to vote for, click on the circle next to the name, then click on the Vote button. Please only vote once for your favourite! The poll closes on the 31st May 2009.

The votes from the online poll will be added to the votes cast in Llangadog Post Office to decide the winners.

The Tutor for the project was Julie Ann Sheridan. The project, as part of Adult Learners Week, was funded by NAICE, KITE and Llangadog Post Office.
