Extras during filming

On 22nd June 2006, a TV production company from Cardiff, Bae Werdd, filmed part of their series “The Small Country”, which will be broadcast next January on S4C, in The Red Lion, Llangadog.

During filming, the name of the pub had to be changed to "The Wheatsheaf" and everything inside was changed to look like the inside of a pub during the First World War - sawdust on the floor, pewter tankards and candles on the tables. Everything modern had to be dispensed with for the day.

Many of the locals who took part as extras enjoyed themselves enormously. Some of them are pictured above outside "The Wheatsheaf".
